John, I’m going to be honest with you:

Today is our mid-November benchmark. At the end of this email, I’m going to ask you to contribute $3 toward our campaign. But first, I need to lay out the stakes of this race:

I never imagined that I would be running for Congress in CA-27. My career took me to NASA as Chief of Staff under President Obama, and to Virgin Galactic, where I helped create hundreds of good-paying jobs in our community.

But I could not stand idly by while Rep. Mike Garcia continued to do harm. Garcia is a far-right extremist -- he voted for a nationwide abortion ban, voted to give himself and the GOP a pay raise, and was even a part of the group that tried to decertify the results of President Biden’s win in 2020.

The Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys deserve better. That’s why I’m running for Congress, plain and simple.

The great news is: Our message is resonating -- political experts at the Cook Political Report confirmed that this is a “toss up” race. Mike Garcia’s popularity is spiraling as the people of this district learn more about his record.
