John, I wanted to take a few minutes to share some updates with you from last week’s election:
Most importantly, Colorado had record Democratic turnout for an odd-year election, with more Democrats voting this year than in 2021 and 2019, and we also outperformed Republican turnout! If you voted, made phone calls, donated, or talked to your friends and family about voting, this result is thanks to your work. We’ve worked hard this year laying the groundwork for Tuesday’s election, and we’re so grateful to have us with you.
We’ve worked hard this year with the belief that odd years are not off years -- they are build years. We launched an unprecedented Get-Out-The-Vote operation to turn out Democrats across the state and support our local candidates everywhere.
We reached nearly 100,000 voters in advance of Tuesday’s election, continuing our work to engage Democrats in elections that are traditionally low turnout. The next frontier of Colorado politics is local, and we’re proud of the work we’ve done to turn Democrats out this year. We’ll continue to build on this success next year.
Now for a small sampling of exciting results:
*
Democrats
swept
the
Douglas
County
and
Adams
12
school
board
races.
Progressive
candidates
won
three
seats
on
the
Gunnison
County
school
board.
We
also
won
seats
in
Prowers
County,
Mancos,
Jefferson
County,
Loveland
Cherry
Creek,
Greeley
and
more!

*
We
elected
city
councilors
and
mayors
in
Las
Animas,
Arvada,
Lakewood,
Broomfield,
Thornton,
Westminster,
Loveland
--
and
that's
just
a
start.

*
There
were
many
other
wins,
and
many
races
continue
to
be
too
close
to
call
with
a
lot
of
votes
left
to
be
counted.
After
this
week's
voter
protection
work,
we'll
be
better
able
to
share
Democratic
gains
statewide.
As we celebrate Tuesday’s wins and look toward the future, here’s what’s next:
*
Tracking
of
all
the
close
races
across
the
state

We’re
continuing
to
track
close
races
and
we’ll
be
making
sure
every
vote
is
counted
by
running
a
ballot
curing
voter
protection
program.

*
Defeating
Lauren
Boebert

We’ve
made
giving
her
the
boot
one
of
our
top
priorities.
If
you’re
ready
to
help
right
now,
chip
in
$5.46
to
The
546
Project
so
that
we
can
oust
Boebert
from
office.

Re-electing
President
Joe
Biden
and
Yadira
Caraveo

2024
races
will
likely
be
decided
by
the
smallest
of
margins.
We’re
starting
to
organize
earlier
than
ever
before,
so
we
can
build
the
infrastructure
we
need
to
re-elect
President
Biden
and
send
Yadira
Caraveo,
back
to
Congress.
If
you
want
to
chip
in
to
help
us
do
that,
we’d
love
your
support.
