Dear John,

Boris Johnson wants No Deal

He doesn't care about the consequences

The new prime minister is pushing our country towards that cliff. He's going to kick us over the edge into no-deal.

As Alex Andreou said in his Best for Britain Twitter takeover today:

And then what? No deal threatens our democracy. It's already costing us billions and will cost us even more in lost jobs, lost investment and lost futures.

The pound’s collapse since Boris became PM has already ruined some people’s holidays. After last week, a family of four going to Spain is nearly £700 worse off.

MPs rejected no-deal over and over but this government seems determined to ignore our democratically elected representatives.

I've heard people say it's all part of some "clever" plan to scare the EU into giving in to Boris Johnson's demands.

But playing games with people's lives isn't clever - remind your MP that we're relying on them to stop it. There is no mandate for no-deal.

The billions Johnson is already wasting could have funded more doctors and nurses for our NHS.

We could have given teachers the funding they desperately need so they don't need to keep buying classroom supplies out of their own pockets.

Make sure you remind your MP now. They have a responsibility.

Best wishes,

Cary Mitchell

PS. Nobody voted for no-deal Brexit. Our democracy, our future, is under threat. Tell your MP to put a stop to this slide towards chaos and ruin.
