Autism in the News

Autism now affects 1 in 36 children, according to the CDC.  This is a staggering statistic, especially when reflecting on the adage "Our children are our future."  

If the current trajectory continues 1 in 12 children will be diagnosed with autism in 2030. Autism is undoubtedly an epidemic as the prevalence of autism continues to increase at an alarming rate.

Over 2 million parents have heard the words 'Your child has autism' this past year, and along with this diagnosis comes the unfortunate misconception that there is no hope for those on the spectrum.

However, every year many remarkable parents, practitioners, and doctors reveal incredible breakthroughs in alternative treatments and therapies proving that autism is not a hopeless diagnosis. AHS Conference offers education in these areas.
