I am proud to have helped champion and pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which President Biden signed into law two years ago today. This bill is a historic investment in our nation’s infrastructure and is improving our quality of life and creating good-paying jobs for hardworking families in South Jersey and across America. Over the past two years, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law has delivered transformative results for our community. Here are a few highlights in New Jersey:

$8.1 billion to repair and improve our highways and bridges.
$263.7 million to expand access to high-speed internet.
$463 million to provide clean and safe water across New Jersey, including funding to replace lead service lines and address dangerous PFAS chemicals.
$4.5 billion to expand sustainable public transit options across the state.
$123 million to make our electrical grid more resilient and build thousands of miles of new transmission lines, in addition to funding to improve home energy efficiency and lower energy costs for families.
$118.8 million to improve ports and waterways, strengthening the supply chain.
$461.2 million to make our infrastructure more resilient to the impacts of climate change and extreme weather.
$224.5 million to tackle legacy pollution and clean up brownfield sites.

I’m proud to have voted to make these historic and long-overdue investments in our infrastructure that will create new opportunities for hardworking South Jerseyans and revitalize our local economies. Together, we are building safer, cleaner, greener and more connected communities. I look forward to seeing the dividends for generations to come.
