Tomorrow, November 16, Starbucks workers who are unionized with Starbucks Workers United are going on STRIKE and asking customers and allies to hold solidarity actions outside of non-union Starbucks stores to demand the company respect union rights. DC-area Kaiser Permanente therapists ratify first union contract

Congratulations to UFCW Local 400 and UFCW Local 27 members working at Kaiser Permanente rehabilitation services who voted overwhelmingly in favor of ratifying their first union contract on Monday! UFCW Local 400 members and UFCW Local 27 members made a combined vote of 100–2 in favor of ratifying the agreement. Read more »

The American Economic Liberties Project and a coalition of UFCW locals hosted a virtual event yesterday featuring policy experts, consumers, and grocery workers all urging the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to block the harmful merger of Kroger and Albertsons supermarket chains. Yesterday the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions held a hearing titled, "Standing Up Against Corporate Greed: How Unions are Improving the Lives of Working Families."
