It’s been a whirlwind since I first was sworn into the United States Senate, friend.
On that day in January 2018, I had my family standing next to me as I was sworn in as Minnesota’s next U.S. Senator. Shortly after I took the oath, I headed to my new office where someone had requested to meet with me for a few minutes to check in and share some words of advice.
That person was Vice President Joe Biden.
Joe shared with me that the Senate is a place based on building relationships and working hard — advice drawn from his years of experience in the Senate and as Vice President.
Here's what I know: Joe has been working to build a more perfect union his entire life. And at this moment in our country’s story, I believe that he is the best person to lead us forward.
That’s why today I’m supporting Joe Biden. He’s shown me that he has the heart, the experience, and the values to lead us forward as President. With Joe, we can take back the Senate and say goodbye to Mitch McConnell’s cynical efforts to obstruct progress and put special interests before the people’s interests. We can fulfill the promise that every American has access to health care they can afford. We can lower prescription drug prices and protect and expand Social Security. We can take bold steps to address climate change and gun violence. We can get dark money out of our politics and defend voting rights and the rights of people to come together to organize for better wages and benefits and safe places to work.
But you know as well as I do that to take back the White House, Joe is going to need all of our grassroots support. So I’m coming to ask you today — will you make a donation to Joe’s campaign for President and my Senate campaign? It is your support that will make sure we have the resources to put us on a path to victory in November.

I am so grateful for Vice President Biden’s ongoing leadership and passion for this country — and I know he will be a great President and trust him to do what’s right for the state and country we love so much. I hope you’ll join me in supporting him.
Thanks.
