These are the names of 289 of the 320 members of our global Transgender community who lost their lives to violence, shared by the Trans Murder and Monitoring [[link removed]] annual global report spanning from October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023.
Violence against Trans people does not stand alone.
The hate spewed by Republican politicians working to ban gender-affirming care and school participation for Transgender minors leads directly to this violence.
This week, Transgender Awareness Week, and Monday, November 20, Transgender Day of Remembrance, is a time for us as allies to ensure we know how to stand up to those spewing hate and stand with and fight for our Trans community.
