Jack, in 2022, billionaires spent over $1 billion in a single campaign season, primarily to support right-wing causes and candidates.

That's nearly 75% higher than billionaire spending in the 2018 midterm election, and 300 times more than billionaires shelled out prior to the Supreme Court’s disastrous 2010 Citizens United v. FEC decision, which gave corporations the free speech rights of individuals and opened the door to unlimited corporate spending to influence elections.
