I'm writing this morning to humbly ask you to make a contribution — of $5 or whatever amount you can — before our mid-month fundraising deadline at midnight tonight.

Here's why:

Since the very beginning, this campaign has been powered by the generous support of folks like you chipping in what they can.

Whether it's the $10 from a teacher in Chicago, the $25 from a nurse in Kankakee or the $3 recurring monthly contribution from a postal worker in Urbana, grassroots support from emails like this one are a cornerstone of our campaign.

My team and I have been hard at work in the Senate, working to support people across Illinois and the entire country. But with 2024 just around the corner, that same support is going to become even more important as we look to defend our Democratic majority next year.

If everyone reading this message chipped in what they can, a $5 contribution from you is really all it takes for us to reach our goals and continue forward together.

So please. I'm humbly asking:
