After Roe v. Wade was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2022, red
states like Texas wasted no time in passing radical anti-abortion laws,
putting women’s health and lives in danger. But our Attorney General is
fighting back.
Today, Rob co-led a multi-state coalition of 21 attorneys general in
issuing an amicus brief against Texas’ radical laws that restrict
reproductive freedom.
Rob stands with the 15 women in Texas whose health, fertility, and lives
were put at risk when they were denied emergency abortion services. This
is the very first lawsuit brought on by women affected by the 2022 SCOTUS
decision, and it won’t be the last.
No one should fear being denied the care they need to survive, whether
they live in California or Texas. That’s why Rob is taking action against
these draconian anti-abortion laws.
