In her first 100 days, Katie set up task forces to address all the major issues impacting Arizonans — teacher retention, our state’s water crisis, and making housing more affordable.

Despite a GOP majority in both chambers, Katie was able to pass a bipartisan budget that made historic investments in public education and infrastructure, and expanded health care access for thousands of kids across every county.

She set a new veto record stopping every extreme bill that has been passed by the legislature. Instead of addressing Arizona’s real issues head-on, the Republicans in both chambers passed dangerously extreme pieces of legislation that attacked reproductive rights, voting rights, the LGBTQ+ community, and other marginalized groups.
