Typically, I’d send you an email explaining why I think I’m the right person to represent IL-06 in Washington.

But realistically, I’m not going to be everyone’s cup of tea. So instead, here are some reasons I might NOT be the right candidate for you:

If you’re looking for someone who denies basic scientific truth, I’m not the candidate for you.

If you’re looking for someone who cares more about the approval of FOX News than the approval of their constituents, I’m not the candidate for you.

And if you’re looking for someone who will betray democracy for short-term political gain, then I’m REALLY not the candidate for you.

So, on the off chance you like politicians who are self-interested, power-hungry, divisive and ineffective, Congressional Republicans are the total package.

But if you prefer effective policymaking and dependable leadership, then I’m your candidate, and I’m asking for your support to keep IL-06 out of the GOP’s grasp.
