My Democratic colleagues and I are focused on finding solutions to our nation’s most pressing issues – including averting a government shutdown. Unfortunately, I don’t think we can say the same for my colleagues across the aisle – the farthest right members, including Speaker Johnson, prioritize political infighting over progress.

In just a few days, the government is set to run out of funding. Should that happen, such an avoidable blunder would have ripple effects across the economy, and it underscores that, with such serious issues ahead, we need serious lawmakers in the majority.
