We need 100 youth activists to help bring birth control over-the-counter through this campaign

John,

Birth control pills help us take control of our sexual health - just like condoms and Plan B. So shouldn’t they all be on the shelves at CVS and Walgreens right next to each other?

Well guess what? Policy-makers are working to bring birth control pills over-the-counter RIGHT NOW, but if they ban young people from buying it, well, that seems kinda pointless, no?

Look, members of Congress really do listen to their constituents, but only if they receive some kind of tangible, unique outreach...something like a postcard! Can you help us send postcards to Congress telling them that you’re tired of jumping through hoops to get the contraception you need?

We need young people (ages 14-24) to collect post cards to send to their members of Congress to show lawmakers that over-the-counter birth control has to be accessible to all, especially young people who need it most.

Anyone who signs up here will receive a box of materials with everything you need, including:

  • Postcards to Congress that you can fill out with your personal stories and experiences to show why over-the-counter birth control pills are important to your community. The postcards will come with everything you need to mail them at no cost to you.
  • A guide to hosting a letter-writing party in your community
  • Awesome #FreeThePill swag to give out to participants, including stickers and cool canvas pouches (for makeup, chapstick, condoms, or...birth control)
  • A Social Media Toolkit to help you spread the word

You know, young people used to be banned from buying Emergency Contraception, like Plan B. It’s only available over-the-counter for everyone today because people organized, educated their community, and demanded it. We can do the same thing with birth control pills. But only if we find some dedicated young people to go all-in. So if you or someone you know is a young person who wants to help, sign up to join this movement today!

In solidarity,
