John,
The New York Times is reporting that Donald Trump will not only revive his administration’s draconian immigration policies but viciously expand them if he wins next year’s election.
Trump plans to arrest undocumented people en masse, detain them in military camps, and, in his own words, carry out “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.” He’s even planning to speed up the process by invoking arcane laws to subvert people’s due process.
The fact is, we’ve seen this before. The child separation crisis was reprehensible. A second Trump administration would be even worse.
John, our immigration system should center on humanity, justice, and compassion, not cruelty. This election isn’t just a battle for our democracy. It’s a battle to protect basic human rights. We can’t afford to lose.
I’m fighting every day to make sure we win our majority back and keep Trump or any other MAGA Republican out of the White House. But none of my work is possible without your ongoing support.
With less than one year to go to next year’s election, will you send a donation of $10, $25, $50, or whatever works for you to help us keep our budget on track?
