IMPROVING ACCESS TO CROP INSURANCE

Florida’s Heartland produces over 200 specialty crops impacted by harsh winter conditions. Unfortunately, these crop producers struggle to access reasonably priced crop insurance. To ease this financial burden, I introduced the bipartisan H.R. 6186, the Temperature Endorsement for Multi-Peril Policies (TEMP) Act to create an affordable temperature crop insurance policy. The TEMP Act directs the Risk Management Agency to research and develop a temperature-based index policy that uses National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration data. This will provide critical stability for our hardworking growers. Click here to learn more. 

BRINGING VETERAN SERVICES TO OUR COMMUNITY

Calling all Central Florida veterans: our office is hosting a Vet Fest on Saturday, November 18 to provide convenient access to needed care. Vet Fest is a community event focused on educating veterans and offering on-site resources from the VA, including toxic exposure screenings, women's health services, mental health support and more.

DEFUNDING IRAN'S TERROR ARM

Iran, which funds Hamas, is the world's largest sponsor of terrorism. We MUST hold them accountable and annihilate the cancer of Hamas and other terrorist groups seeking to destroy Israel. Last week, I voted for and the House passed the Stop Harboring Iranian Petroleum (SHIP) Act to impose stronger petroleum sanctions on Iran. Higher sanctions are needed as the Middle East sits on the brink of an all-out war. Not only will the SHIP Act hold Iran accountable, it also makes it clear if any foreign adversary tries to help Iran evade sanctions, or assist in the funding of terror in ANY way, there will be swift consequences.
