For years, the Biden Crime Family has enjoyed protection from Democrats in Congress and liberal pundits in the left-wing media. But under our House Republican Majority, accountability is finally here.

Over the last several months, House Republicans have been conducting rigorous oversight of President Biden’s involvement in his family’s shady foreign business dealings. Through our investigation, spearheaded by Republicans on the House Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways & Means Committees, we have uncovered mountains of evidence detailing that Joe Biden not only knew about his family’s influence peddling schemes — but that he was directly involved in this corruption.

In addition to the FBI’s bombshell FD-1023 and eyewitness testimony, we have obtained bank records that financially implicate Joe Biden in the Biden Crime Family’s lucrative schemes.

This includes bank records revealing that in 2018, Americore, a financially distressed rural hospital operator, wired a whopping $200,000 into James and Sara Biden’s personal bank account. On the very same day, James Biden wrote a $200,000 check from his personal bank account to Joe Biden.

Additionally, bank records show how Joe Biden also received $40,000 in laundered money from Communist China in the form of another personal check from James and Sara Biden. As you may know, his son, Hunter Biden, raked in $400,000 from this same shady Chinese business transaction.

After collecting troves of evidence against the Biden Crime Family, House Republicans are prepared to take the next necessary step in our impeachment inquiry.

Last week, House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer issued subpoenas to President Biden’s son, Hunter; his brother, James; and Biden family associates Rob Walker, Eric Schwerin, and Mervyn Yan.

Folks, the walls are closing in on Joe Biden.

Last night, the House considered a resolution to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. As you may know, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports that there have been more than 6.2 million illegal alien encounters at our southern border since Sec. Mayorkas took office in 2021.

Unfortunately, eight Republicans voted with Democrats to refer the resolution to committee — effectively killing the measure. I voted against this delay tactic, as I believe that Sec. Mayorkas’ impeachment is long overdue. Despite this outcome, I fully support the House returning to this matter in order to deliver accountability to the American people.

In honor of National Adoption Month, I’m excited to announce that Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor’s Partner and Ninth District resident, Judy D. Sartain, was recently recognized by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) as a 2023 Angels in Adoption Honoree. Each year, the CCAI selects individuals, families, or organizations across the nation who make exceptional contributions to adoption and foster care.

I’m incredibly grateful to the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute for awarding Judy Sartain as a 2023 Angels in Adoption Honoree. In both her life and career, Judy has tirelessly advocated for adoption and foster care, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to serving those in need of permanent, loving homes. Throughout her 28 years of experience in family law, Judy’s passion, selflessness, and hard work have improved the lives of hundreds of children in the Peach State. It was a privilege to recommend Judy to receive this distinguished honor, and I’m confident that she will continue making the Ninth District proud through her extraordinary work.

Last week, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that federal Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) are available in Georgia for small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private nonprofit organizations with economic losses due to the drought conditions that began on October 31st, 2023. This assistance is available for certain counties in the Ninth District, including Fannin, Lumpkin, Hall, Union, and White.

As you may know, government funding is set to expire this Friday, November 17th. Today, lawmakers considered a short-term spending bill, known as a continuing resolution (CR), to extend government funding and avoid a government shutdown. The measure takes a two-step approach, offering two separate extensions for different portions of government funding — meaning funds for certain departments and agencies would expire on January 19th, while the remaining funds would be set to expire two weeks later, on February 2nd. While I support this unique, laddered approach, this CR does not include any spending cuts, policy changes, or conservative wins for the American people. In other words, this stopgap spending measure continues funding Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi’s radical policies and out-of-control spending levels. Therefore, I ultimately did not support it.
