We recently wrapped up another legislative session here in California, and I wanted to give you a quick recap of what we accomplished this year.

I’m proud to say that 10 bills I authored were signed into law by the Governor in the 2023 session. Since I was sworn in as a State Senator, a central objective of my work has been protecting our communities, and that remains true this year.

We made huge strides in gun violence prevention, expanding legal relief for victims of domestic violence, environmental protections, public safety, advocating for vulnerable populations, and much more.

While we celebrate these wins, we must also recommit to the work still ahead. When I get to Congress, and every day in between, I’ll keep fighting for a healthier, safer, greener California for all.

Now, I want to hear from you: As we look ahead, what issues are most important to you and your family? Take our quick Priorities Survey and share your thoughts here: [[link removed]]TAKE THE SURVEY [[link removed]]

I look forward to reading your responses! Thanks for being in this with me.
