Folks, there is a serious voter suppression problem in Mississippi.
Last Tuesday, Mississippi voters found themselves stuck in long lines, precincts ran out of ballots, and forget trying to avoid this mess by voting early — that doesn’t even exist in the state.
The state elections website, which is supposed to connect voters with the information they need to vote, had incorrect or missing addresses for 92 voting precincts.
It’s no exaggeration to say that what’s happening in Mississippi is an all-out assault on voting rights.
That’s why continued investment in Mississippi and other “red states” is so important — and that’s exactly what Groundwork is dedicated to.
Please, pitch in $10 today to help us combat voter suppression, build progressive power, and fund local organizing across the Deep South, Appalachia, and the Plains.
