Friends -- tomorrow marks my campaign’s mid-November fundraising deadline, and we’ve got a few thousand dollars left to go to reach the $100,000 benchmark my team has set. Can you chip in right now to close the gap?
You know I don’t love asking for money, and I especially dislike fake deadlines or false urgency. So let me tell you why I’m asking now:
My team has broken down the entirety that we’ll need to raise for the 2024 election into quarterly and monthly sub-goals because it’s just too much to tackle all at once.
Each month, they carefully monitor our progress every single day to see if we’re on track to reach those goals.
The mid-month deadline is a chance for us to get back on track if we’re coming up short -- and right now, we are.
And as far as the urgency goes, I’ll tell you this much -- now that my colleague Joe Manchin has opted not to run for re-election, every single race, including mine, has become existentially important.
If we lose a single Democratic seat, we’re pretty much handing control right over to Mitch McConnell and his extreme Republican pals -- and I am not prepared to do that!
