With spring right around the corner, it’s the perfect season for direct action! There’s also no better time to get involved in the fight for reproductive justice. Last week, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on Louisiana’s admitting privileges law, which could decimate abortion access in the state.[1] We know that the right to abortion has never ensured access, but this law is designed to hurt those most marginalized: people of color, trans and queer folks, people living in rural areas, and low-income people.

Check out Reproaction’s Twitter thread from the rally outside the Supreme Court last week!

Here’s what’s happening this month:

How we talk about attacks on abortion access plays a crucial role in our ability to shift from playing defense to actually winning.

Join NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia, Falls Church Healthcare Center and Reproaction for an interactive training. We’ll show you how to identify abortion stigma, bust myths, and have real transformative conversations. We will talk about the impact abortion stigma has on healthcare access, policy and our communities. Participants are welcome to bring their own questions.

Sign-up is required.

Tired of anti-abortion fake clinics fooling pregnant people with misinformation and lies? Join us for a special April Fools’ Day-themed #ExposeFakeClinics action in D.C.!

Everyone deserves the right to receive medically accurate information about their pregnancy so they can make informed decisions about their health. Yet throughout the DMV, fake clinics work to dissuade pregnant people from seeking abortions by spreading misinformation. There are more than 2,500 of these fake clinics in the United States (check out our Fake Clinic Database here), and many receive state and federal funding. Often, these clinics go unchecked, and continue to promote anti-abortion ideology in our communities.

It's on us to demand accountability and expose fake clinics in our community. We plan on protesting outside of a fake clinic and flyering with information about where people can access real abortion care and parenting resources.
