First of all, thank you so much to every single one of you for working so hard this year. Last week's election results were the result of all the time, energy, and effort you put in. AYDs were knocking, calling, texting for the last few months and it showed. We helped flip the House and defend the Senate and that's a big deal.
Now as this year comes to a close, it is time to elect next year's Executive Board for what is the biggest YD chapter in Virginia. AYD E-Board elections are happening this Thursday! Join us for AYD Executive Board Elections on Thursday, November 16th! The meeting will begin at 6:30pm and Arlington Mill Community Center over on Columbia Pike in Multi-purpose Room 527A+B. We now have all our candidates, and you can read their statements here [[link removed]] .
Uncontested races will be voted on first, then for contested races, each candidate will have 3 minutes to speak followed by 5 minutes of discussion before voting. We will also be utilizing Instant Runoff Voting for the Community Service Director election, as there are more than two candidates. Finally, Membership Director will be floor nominated.
If you're interested in an appointed position [[link removed]] , the deadline to apply is Sunday, November 19th at 11:59pm.
