The Hill: Congress barrels toward shutdown with House GOP divided

​The deadline to fund our government is coming up on Friday, but House Republicans are still playing dangerous political games, team.

Freedom Caucus Republicans are once again rejecting bipartisan efforts to pass a short-term government funding bill.

A government shutdown would have real and lasting consequences for millions of hard-working Americans and thousands of Granite Staters. This is not the time for political theater.

Whether they are being led by Kevin McCarthy or Mike Johnson, House Republicans have shown they'll keep leading us to the brink of crisis. That's why we need to take back the House majority next November.
