About the job
As the?Information Governance Coordinator,?you will be?responsible to ensure that the agency is in compliance with Washington?s public records laws and for responding to public records requests timely and appropriately under the law.?You will act as a liaison to the Attorney General?s Office on agency litigation, which includes ensuring agency compliance with?litigation discovery requests and litigation holds. You will also provide expert advice and consultation to agency leaders and employees regarding which documents are within the scope of holds and requests and which may be exempt and ensure timely compliance.
This position requires a high degree of reasoning, communication and persuasion skills, exercise of impeccable discretion in the management of sensitive employee records as well as a high level of understanding of the operation of state government, public records law and litigation/discovery rules. ?
