These past several weeks have reminded us of the importance of electing leaders who are serious about addressing the real challenges facing our country.
House Republicans have shown a complete inability to govern -- from bringing us to the brink of a government shutdown to struggling to find consensus and pick their next Speaker. They care more about playing political games than doing their jobs.
When Democrats were in charge of the House, we lowered the cost of insulin and other prescription drugs, invested in infrastructure and manufacturing to create thousands of good-paying jobs, improved access to veterans’ health care, and passed the first new gun violence prevention law in decades.
We can change the path we’re on right now by electing Democrats across the country and flipping the House next year.
But we can’t do it without you. The mid-quarter deadline is tomorrow -- any amount you can spare would help us defeat Republicans and put Democrats back in charge.
