These numbers are staggering, John: In El Paso, 22 people were killed and another 25 were injured in just six minutes. And in Dayton, 9 people were killed and 27 injured in less than a minute. Countless families have had their lives changed forever - because deadly accessories like high-capacity magazines are bought and sold with seemingly no restrictions.

The tragic events of last weekend only further demonstrate the critical need for immediate movement on gun reform. But too many lawmakers are following the gun lobby's lead: offering thoughts and prayers, blaming social media and video games - and ignoring the nation's calls for tangible solutions.

We cannot allow our lawmakers to continue this pattern of inaction while high-capacity magazines are used again and again to make mass shootings even deadlier. We're calling for immediate action to prevent future tragedies - and we need you with us, John:
