Leading with courage and a love for all of humanity has always put a target on Cori’s back by those who want to reverse the progress our movement has built. So it’s no surprise to us that AIPAC is now running ads that falsely smear Cori for spearheading the call for a ceasefire in Congress.

Despite what these ads claim, Cori cares for every human being impacted in Israel and Occupied Palestine. She mourns for the Israeli and Palestinian civilians killed, and is taking action to ensure that no more innocent lives are lost. But AIPAC, invested in the United States unconditional support of the Israeli military, is doing everything in its power to punish those holding the Israeli government accountable for the killing of over 11,000 Palestinians in Gaza over these last 5 weeks.

That’s the group who’s currently funding these attack ads against Cori. Their claims are baseless and their words are hollow, yet they will continue to spend millions of dollars on these tactics because they fear the power of our pro-peace, pro humanity movement. Each and every day, more people are taking to the streets to demand a ceasefire and an end to this bloodshed. Instead of listening to the people’s will, AIPAC is spending endless amounts of money in an attempt to silence the majority of Americans who believe in the sacredness of every human life.

We’re grateful for Cori’s leadership in this moment. From joining veterans for ceasefire last week to praying with Rabbis for ceasefire yesterday, Cori is walking the walk with this growing movement. She is pushing for peace in the Halls of Congress and in the streets because our movement requires both. The chants of the peacemakers, the wailing of the prayerful, and the pleas of those around the world calling for a ceasefire will cut through the noise of the gaslighting from those who are quick to label us “terrorist sympathizers” for being outraged at the killing of thousands of innocent Palestinian men, women, and children.

While AIPAC continues its cynical ploy to silence and punish Cori, her advocacy for peace will not waiver. She will continue to do what she has always done: push for a pro-peace, pro-humanity agenda.
