The Pelosi-spending era must END
Government spending runs out this week, but Republicans’ current solution does absolutely nothing to address our border, Biden’s weaponized Justice Department, COVID tyranny, the Pentagon’s abortion tourism fund – or namely – anything that House Republicans campaigned they would do. We can’t keep punting meaningful policy changes further down the line – we need to leverage what we can now. Let’s actually attach meaningful policies to this spending bill to force Biden and Senate Democrats to be accountable to the American people.
What’s the hold up?
The southern border continues to grow more out-of-control each day. House Republicans passed H. R. 2 – the Secure the Border Act – back in April with some of the strongest border policies this Congress has ever seen. Yet, the Senate continues to sit on its hands and refuse to pass the bill. That’s why I led almost the entire Texas House Republicans in calling on our colleagues on the other side of the Capitol to do what the American people sent them here to do – uphold the Constitution and protect this country. I won’t stop fighting until our border is secure.

Remembering fallen APD officer Jorge Pastore
Last week, our community lost one of our finest when an Austin Police Officer was killed in the line of duty in south Austin. No words can fill the void felt right now for family, friends, colleagues, and the entire Austin community. We mourn their loss and the life of a true hero; and we offer our prayers and support today and in the days ahead. This is a good reminder that we must rally behind our men in blue, not just when the unfortunate strikes but every day.
Celebrating Veterans Day
From the wise words of Ronald Reagan, “Veterans know better than anyone else the price of freedom, for they've suffered the scars of war.” My team had a great time celebrating the veterans of TX- 21 at events in Boerne and Comal county – we are so grateful for their service to the district and our nation as a whole.
