2023 has been another year of dishonest politics, misinformation flooding social media, and MPs from across the political spectrum making false claims in parliament and online; claims that harm democracy and damage people’s health.

But Full Fact has continued the fight against bad information. This year we’ve published hundreds of fact checks, given hundreds of thousands of people access to accurate, impartially sourced information and pushed through changes that will finally allow MPs to correct the record in parliament.

Next year’s general election is at risk from false claims and deceptive tactics. As we ramp up our fact checking capacity, and demand better from our politicians during the election, we need your support.
