Blue Letter 11/08/23
Thank you so much, Blue Amp community, for all your hard work knocking on doors, making calls, giving to our list and everything else you did to ensure last night was an incredible one for Democratic candidates and liberal politics. We enshrined abortion rights in the Ohio Constitution (this one, of course, is particularly important to this Ohioan). We not only held the Virginia State Senate but took the Virginia State House, stopping Glenn Youngkin's abortion ban and hobbling any run for the presidency he might make. We reelected a great Democrat, Andy Beshear, in Kentucky! We won another seat to add to our majority on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court – stopping any GOP plan for messing with the voting in 2024. And we even had smaller victories around the country, reelecting a Democrat to a third term as Mayor of Indianapolis for the first time ever, electing the first woman Mayor of Philadelphia and so much more. We even came close to winning the governorship in Mississippi(!), coming within a few points of knocking off a Republican incumbent in this usually +12-15% GOP State.
All in all, an incredible night, and I just want to thank you for all you did to make it happen!!!
