Hi John ~
As we enter this end-of-year giving season, we want to share several ways you can support our work influencing policy, holding politicians accountable, educating the public, and collaborating with partners across the state to tackle the climate crisis and protect the environment and democracy in Maine.
Ways to Give to Maine Conservation Voters and Maine Conservation Alliance
Qualified Charitable Distribution
If you are 70½ or older, you are able to make a tax-free contribution directly from your individual retirement account (IRA) to support Maine Conservation Alliance. And, beginning at age 73, your qualified charitable distribution counts toward your IRA's required minimum distribution.
To make a gift through your IRA, please contact your administrator or financial advisor. If you have any additional questions, please contact me at [email protected].
Appreciated Assets
Giving appreciated assets including stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, to Maine Conservation Alliance or Maine Conservation Voters helps protect the land, water, and air and act on climate! For more information, including instructions on how to make your gift of appreciated assets, please contact me at [email protected].
Donor Advised Fund
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving account that allows donors to easily make gifts to charitable organizations – including Maine Conservation Alliance.
To make a gift through your Donor Advised Fund or list Maine Conservation Alliance as a beneficiary, please contact your fund administrator. If you have any additional questions, please contact me at [email protected].
