U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) made it official – he's calling it quits and won't seek re-election next year.

 

Manchin's decision essentially guarantees that Republican will win the seat next year, which opens the door for West Virginians to nominate conservative U.S. Rep. Alex Mooney (R-WV).

But that won’t happen unless conservatives in the Mountain State and across the nation lock arms and help Alex Mooney defeat Gov. Jim Justice (R-WV) in the May 14 Republican primary election.

Justice is the former Democrat-turned-Republican who …

• Endorsed Joe Biden’s budget-busting COVID spending bills;
• Supported the COVID lockdowns; and
• Proposed the largest tax increase in state history

It’s no surprise that Justice was recruited by Senator Mitch McConnell and is supported by Karl Rove and countless other RINOs.

If Jim Justice wins the nomination, there’s zero chance he will fight for conservative principles and values when it matters most.

Thankfully, there’s a pathway to victory for Alex Mooney if he can raise the money he needs to get his message out. While recent polls show Mooney trailing Justice by double digits, he surges into an eight-point lead when voters learn about Justice’s liberal record.

And now that Joe Manchin is no longer in the race the establishment can’t use his past election success to trick Republican voters into settling for a weaker candidate they claim is more electable.

Now is the time for conservatives to come together and support Alex Mooney for the U.S. Senate in West Virginia.

 

He’s the choice of leading conservatives like Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH), Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Senator Mike Lee (R-UT).
