Somehow, we’re already about halfway through the month — Thanksgiving is in just over a week!

This November, I’ve been focused on addressing a slew of critical issues, from making sure guns stay out of the hands of domestic violence perpetrators to preventing far-right states like Texas from accessing the license-plate records of drivers in California to target abortion-seekers and immigrants.

We also saw voters across the country use their votes on Election Day to reject right-wing extremists and defend the right to reproductive freedom.

Soon, 2023 will be over, but our critical work for our basic rights and democracy only continues. The GOP are continuing to push extreme abortion bans, ugly anti-immigrant rhetoric, and threats to our free and fair elections.

Former President Donald Trump is riling up his base by promising to reinstate his racist and xenophobic Muslim travel ban, put people in camps and cages, and persecute his political enemies, whom he — like the worst dictators in history — referred to as “vermin.”

I’m focused on fighting for the rights, dignity, and well-being of all Californians, and I won’t let anyone — whether it's big corporations or an egomaniac like Trump — trample on the rule of law in their quest for profits and power.
