Ken Calvert is hiding from the public.
In an interview last week, he refused to say whether he’d commit to a debate with Will before Election Day 2024.
Sigh. 🙄
We wish we could say we were surprised, John. Last election, we tried to get Calvert to agree to a debate for months only to get radio silence.
And with his agenda becoming even more extreme this term, we’re expecting him to continue to follow the MAGA playbook and run from any accountability.
Voters deserve an explanation as to why Calvert voted to elect one of the most extreme Speakers in history, voted against certifying the 2020 election, and even voted to strike down over $3 million in earmarks for services to the LGBTQ+ community -- including meals for seniors.
We think it’s critical to a functioning democracy to have our ideas laid out in a public forum. Naturally, Calvert is noncommittal.
Voters deserve answers from Calvert directly on his extreme agenda. If you’re with us, will you sign the petition demanding Calvert commit to a debate with Will?
