Hi Friend,

You may not know me, and I understand if you might not finish reading this email, but we have to start somewhere. That starting point is always a conversation — the very challenge we face today, the lack of meaningful conversation. So let me introduce myself, and I'm genuinely eager to get to know you, your family, and your neighbors better.

My name is Dean, and I am running for president with a personal mandate: to listen to the people and bring true representation to the White House. The most critical aspect for any elected official should be not what the Washington Beltway dictates, but what you have to say. After all, in any election, the winner represents only a portion of the public. The others, who may not vote for the winner, equally deserve a voice. 

In my upbringing, I celebrated presidents from both parties. Both sides have contributed to bringing out the best in our country. I firmly believe that the most exceptional leaders listen, lead by example, and uphold certain values. I am disappointed in our parties for driving people into different corners. We need to prioritize people over party affiliations. It's evident that the current political landscape doesn't always reward those who raise their hand or speak up, especially in comparison to certain factions.

In a political environment often stalled by gridlock due to the influence of money, I stand for change. I am the only member of Congress out of 535 who refuses ALL money from lobbyists, special interest PACs, doesn’t have a leadership PAC, and doesn’t give or receive money from fellow members of Congress. I comprehend the necessity of redirecting the conversation to what truly matters, transcending the limitations imposed by partisan interests.

Let’s be honest, things aren’t at their best. We're facing environmental concerns, mental health issues, gun violence, national security challenges, affordability crisis, and more — important matters that a distracted government isn’t adequately addressing for its people.

The more I listen, the more I understand that very little separates us. We can and must replace darkness with light, poverty with prosperity. If we do, our best days are yet to come.
