Hey John, I just had a call with my finance team, and there’s good and bad news.

First, the bad news: We’re still not on track to meet our mid-quarter goal. Not by much, but enough to throw our momentum off for the rest of the quarter.

According to my team, if we can raise another $40,000 from emails like this one before our deadline this Wednesday, we’ll have closed the gap and set ourselves up for success.

I hate to do this, but we’re in a tough spot, so I need to ask you:

Can you pitch in $10 or whatever works for you toward our mid-quarter deadline?

Now here’s the good news: We’re building the team we need to win this doggone thing. People across Montana are fired up about this race, and it would be the honor of my life to continue representing Montana.

John, we’ve got a great grassroots team—all we need to do now is hit our goals and keep things moving.
