Friend, 

We are hours away from a government shutdown, and Speaker McCarthy Johnson, and MAGA Republicans continue to ignore the reality of the situation they’re putting our country in. 

So let me be clear. There is zero chance that Speaker McCarthy Johnson and MAGA Republicans’ bills will ever become law.

They don’t have the votes in the Senate, and the president will never sign them. Meanwhile, the clock has nearly run out, and we have no time left to pass one of the multiple bipartisan measures being worked on to keep the government open.

For MAGA Republicans, government shutdowns have turned into PR stunts to tout their extremism while knowingly marching the country toward economic collapse. We saw it in 2018 when President Trump refused to pass the budget for 42 days over missing funds for his wall, and we’re seeing it again today.

And for the Speaker? He is in over his head. He is making the most self-serving decision, allowing these clowns to continue, hoping that he will still be the ring leader after the circus is over.

A new Speaker won't fix their divided party. But, a new House Majority will.

Everything I raise, down to the last dime, will be used to take our government back from self-serving, reckless, out-of-touch, extremist clowns.

It is up to us to rise above this dysfunction and work for the good of the American people.
