Dear Neighbor,

As always, I hope you and your families are safe and healthy.

This weekend I was honored to join many of you in Norwalk, Downey, and Walnut in recognition of Veterans Day.

To all those who have served in our armed services: the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force, we owe you our respect and a debt of gratitude.

Not just today, but every single day of the year.

But while we thank you today, we must acknowledge that America’s veterans need lawmakers who are doing more than simply saying “thank you for your service.” Our veterans need lawmakers who back up their words with action.

Protecting our service members – past and present – has been one of my top priorities since I was first elected. And I will continue to be your biggest advocate in Congress.

Como siempre, espero que ustedes y sus familias estén sanos y salvos.

Este fin de semana tuve el honor de unirme a muchos de ustedes en Norwalk, Downey y Walnut en reconocimiento del Día de los Veteranos.

A todos aquellos que han servido en nuestros servicios armados: el Ejército, la Armada, la Fuerza Aérea, la Infantería de Marina, la Guardia Costera y la Fuerza Espacial, les debemos nuestro respeto y gratitud.

No sólo hoy, sino todos los días del año.

Pero, aunque hoy les damos las gracias, debemos reconocer que los veteranos estadounidenses necesitan legisladores que hagan más que simplemente decir “gracias por su servicio”. Nuestros veteranos necesitan legisladores que tomen acción.

Proteger a nuestros miembros del servicio (pasados y presentes) ha sido una de mis principales prioridades desde que fui elegida por primera vez. Y seguiré siendo su mayor defensora en el Congreso.
