John, I honestly hadn’t thought about former Speaker Kevin McCarthy in a while. I’ve been too focused on more pressing matters, like ensuring the American People are put first ahead of the upcoming government funding deadline. So it was interesting to hear him run to CNN with this soundbite the other day… He said the Republican Party would benefit “tremendously” if I was NO LONGER a member of the conference! HELP ME FIGHT BACK! 🇺🇸 First of all – thoughts and prayers, Mr. Former Speaker, as you work through this grief of yours. Second – the decision to fire Kevin McCarthy and replace him with Speaker Mike Johnson has been POPULAR! This notion that I would be kicked out for doing something that is actually popular with the American People? It seems unlikely. So look – if Kevin McCarthy wants to make a motion to remove me from the Republican Conference… …then I guess all I can really do is quote the words of one sad and pathetic former Speaker of the House: “BRING THE EFFING MOTION.” 🇺🇸 CHIP IN: HELP ME FIGHT BACK! 🇺🇸 Sadly – this is just the price you pay when you upset McCarthy’s bosses on K Street.
