Maryland Matters:
Maryland confirmed as pick for new FBI headquarters

This is tremendous news for Maryland, folks.

From a geography, infrastructure, and cost standpoint, building the new FBI headquarters right here in Greenbelt, Maryland was the right decision, no doubt about it.

With 7,500 jobs and $4b in economic activity, this is also going to be a huge economic boon for Marylanders, and it’s a step towards a more equitable distribution of government priorities.

That’s why Team Maryland and I fought so hard for so long to make sure the federal government chose Maryland and specifically Prince George’s County as the site for the new FBI HQ.

I just wanted to make sure you heard the news, because there are big things happening here in Maryland!
