This week, a ton is changing in the Senate campaign landscape (and in our budgets), so I had to come to you with an update. The TL;DR is that we need your grassroots support to stand up to a new wave of GOP spending, so if you can chip in, it’d be a huge help.
Senator Joe Manchin just announced that he’s not running for re-election in West Virginia. That means all the money Mitch McConnell and billionaire GOP donors would have spent to flip West Virginia red will pour into the other Senate battleground races — including ours.
We know Republicans will spend big on ads to defeat Bob Casey, and now, Mitch McConnell only has to flip ONE Senate seat to take control of the chamber. The pressure is on for us to do everything we can to re-elect Bob.
Our team is increasing our budget to fight back — and that’s where you come in. As Finance Director, it’s my job to make sure we have the resources necessary to re-elect Bob — we’ll need grassroots supporters like you to step up in order to combat GOP attacks and an influx of dark money from Mitch McConnell.
