Friends -
Yesterday morning, my primary challenger from last year announced his 2024 campaign. He wants a rematch against me, and we're going to give it to him.
I'll explain more in just a moment, but if that's all you need to hear to add your support, I'm personally asking you to make a $3 contribution to our campaign today.
If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly:
Now here's the truth:
We already knew that this race — no matter who my opponent was — would attract an obscene amount of outside spending from right-wing dark money groups and Republican billionaires nationwide.
But after pouring over half a million dollars into supporting my opponent last time around, you can be sure that the likes of AIPAC's United Democracy Project and Clarence Thomas-bankroller Harlan Crow are going to pull out all the stops in 2024.
That means even more bigoted attack ads blanketing the airwaves in my district.
It means more lies and disinformation spread on social media.
And yes — it means more resources required to fight back.
We can't afford to take anything for granted in this primary, and the only way we can continue our movement's fight for justice is if we're all in it together. That's why I'm asking:
When we faced a surge of last-minute super PAC spending in 2022, this grassroots team stepped up with a surge of its own — $5, $10, and $25 at a time.
We fought back, and we won. Now it's going to take all of us standing together to do it again.
Thank you so much for anything you can chip in today.
In solidarity,
Ilhan Omar
