A passing grade: Heritage just released the second edition of the Education Freedom Report Card, which ranks each state in terms of education choice, teacher freedom, transparency, and return on investment. For the second year in a row, Florida took first place. for overall education freedom. 

• “The renaissance of school choice is the silver lining of the Left’s disastrous mismanagement of American schools,” Heritage President Dr. Kevin Roberts told Fox News.  

Honor roll: Heritage also recognized several states, such as Iowa and Arkansas, which made significant leaps toward education freedom.  

• Heritage held an event in Iowa to honor Gov. Kim Reynolds for making universal education savings accounts a reality.

Unacceptable: Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) recently declared that they are “part of” Hamas’ movement to eradicate Israel. Heritage is calling for defunding the SJP and deporting foreign students who promote terrorism.

• “University-sponsored or enabled discrimination—including toleration of antisemitic (including anti-Zionist) behavior...must stop,” writes Heritage Research Fellow Joel Griffith.
