● MISSION SUMMARY: Governor Greg Abbott continues to lead a multi-state agency effort to secure the border; stop the smuggling of drugs, weapons, and people into Texas; and prevent, detect, and interdict transnational criminal activity between ports of entry.
● MISSION STATUS:ONGOING. Thousands of brave Texas National Guard soldiers and law enforcement officers deployed along the southern border and further inland to defend Texas and fill the dangerous gaps created by President Biden’s open border policies.
● RESULTS: ✔️ 481,000+ illegal immigrant apprehensions ✔️ 36,000+ criminal arrests ✔️ 32,700+ felony charges reported ✔️ 434 million lethal doses of fentanyl seized ✔️ 60,000+ migrants bused to sanctuary cities ✔️ Razor wire and floating marine barriers deployed ✔️ Border wall construction; first U.S. state to do so
