Something needs to change.

john -- I’m not taking a dime from corporate PACs.

That’s not just a talking point. It’s a driving force behind our campaign.

And here’s why: Washington is broken.

As outside groups and corporations pour more money into our elections, our leaders increasingly make decisions based on the interests of their wealthiest donors instead of doing what’s right for their constituents.

It’s backwards.

PUT AN END TO DARK MONEY IN POLITICS →

I want to get back to basics and make Washington work for Tennessee again, and john, I’m not alone.

Sunday, March 8th, marks one year since the House passed the For the People Act, which would:

- Require super PACs and special-interest groups to disclose donors.
- Strengthen regulations on political ads on social media.
- Increase oversight for campaign finance violations.
- Fully restore the Voting Rights Act.

Here’s the bad news: Mitch McConnell has sent this important bill to his legislative graveyard along with hundreds of others.

We need 20,000 citizen co-sponsors to add their names before the one-year anniversary of the For the People Act and put pressure on McConnell to take action on this important piece of legislation.
