Delivering for San Antonio

Reducing crime in our communities starts with backing law enforcement with the resources they need.

On Monday, I joined San Antonio city leaders to share big news for our city.

Over $6 million in funding for the San Antonio Police Department to hire 50 new police officers is on the way. I worked alongside the City of San Antonio to secure this funding through the federal COPS grant program.

Celebrating Veterans Day in TX-23

I started the day in Natalia for their annual Veterans Day Ceremony yesterday.

Veterans Day brings us together to honor the brave men and women who answered the call to serve our nation. As a 20-year U.S. Navy Master Chief, I am grateful for the service of each and every one of our veterans.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our nation’s heroes.

UTSA vs Rice Football Game

I was home in Military City USA last night for the UTSA vs Rice game.

Before the coin toss, I presented two flags to veterans William Lansdon and Reuben Aleman to thank them for their service and dedication to UTSA. They both played an instrumental role in creating UTSA's Center for Military Affiliated Students. The UTSA Center for Military Affiliated Students serves over 5,000 service members, veterans and their families.

Enough is Enough

Just this week, two innocent Americans were killed due to a high-speed chase with migrant smugglers.

High-speed chases are occurring far too often in our border communities — putting innocent lives at risk.

Enough is enough.

There are immediate steps we can take to eliminate havoc at our borders — including raising the credible fear standard, increasing deportation flights, and surging immigration judges to the border.
