Team, these last few weeks have been very busy for Cory to say the least.
Here’s a quick update on what Cory’s been working on in the Senate lately:

Securing funding to combat coronavirus. Cory successfully helped direct federal funding to state and local health departments that are on the frontlines of this public health crisis. A spending package with the funding Cory requested passed the Senate earlier this week.

Standing up for part-time workers. Cory partnered with some of his colleagues in the Senate to introduce the Part-Time Workers Bill of Rights to empower Americans who work part-time. This would allow more part-time employees to participate in their employers’ pension plans and become eligible for family and medical leave.

Fighting to improve air quality for our children. Cory recently introduced legislation to improve air quality in schools. His bill calls for providing grants to schools for air filters that will allow students to learn in an environment free of harmful air pollution, an issue that disproportionately impacts schools in communities of color.

Supporting healthy nutrition in schools. Cory worked across the aisle to introduce a bipartisan bill that would fund nutrition education in schools. This legislation would help expand access to education opportunities that teach students about healthy diet choices.
