John, Mike Johnson hasn’t even been Speaker of the House for a full month, and he already brought a THIRD anti-climate bill to the House floor.
Johnson’s latest bill? A bill that would stop the agencies that monitor corporate pollution from doing their job. In other words, we’d be flying blind when it comes to regulating corporate pollution.
Government agencies have started to set climate risk disclosure standards for companies, putting climate change at the center of investment plans and helping promote sustainable practices in the private sector — a good thing for the environment.
But, Mike Johnson and his fossil fool Republicans are determined to stand in the way of these climate regulations. They’re calling them “woke capitalism,” trying to tie in pro-climate solutions with identity politics.
Mike Johnson has proved he’s in the pocket of Big Oil — he’s spent his short time as Speaker of the House trying to dismantle some of our nation’s most important climate policies.

Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 118th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future.
