Gun violence is an epidemic in our country.

Our gun death rates exceed those of similar countries by obscene amounts, year after year. Schools, houses of worship, concerts -- there are times it seems nowhere is safe.

Our House majority took action more than a year ago to protect our communities, but Mitch McConnell has refused to even consider our common-sense bills. Will you add your name to mine and demand he hold a vote?

We don't have to live like this. I refuse to accept the status quo of inaction that has robbed too many Americans of their future.

But as long as Mitch McConnell continues to line his pockets with money from the gun lobby, nothing will change. It's up to you and me to fight for a brighter future.
